The Great Depression, a time of extremely low employment rates and of great suffering, was a point in U.S. history where many American lives were affected greatly. Many citizens’ lives were changed as a result of these conditions. Lack of jobs, resulted in high unemployment and bank failure, which resulted in an economic collapse and business failures further contributed to economic turmoil and high unemployment. All of these aspects plunged the United States into the Great Depression, but with the help of the government, relief came to the shattered lives of the American people.
