Ending the Depression
You may think that war only leads to trouble and nothing good, but for once, World War II helped end the Great Depression. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, many men had to go and fight in the war, while the people who stayed behind had gotten jobs involving war production. Men and women had to make the soldier's uniforms and weapons causing labor among the Americans. This slowly led us out of the Great Depression. Many people give credit to the New Deal, which didn't work as planned. It was mostly because of World War II that we were able to get out of the Great Depression.
