End of the New Deal
The New Deal programs helped relieve the depression and renew the Americans’ confidence in the government, but the New Deal didn’t last. It began to die slowly and Roosevelt ordered people to cut back on spending. As a result, farm prices fell and unemployment rates increase. This was called the Roosevelt Recession.

After the New Deal failed, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and the US was brought into World War II. War production brought the US out of the depression and an almost full employment returns.
